EMBER CATTLE COMPANY

100% FORAGE  /  SOUTH POLL GRASS CATTLE    /  FORAGE BASED GENETICS

10 Bred Heifers For Sale

We’re grateful for the chance to share that we’ll be offering 10 South Poll bred heifers, due to calve in the spring of 2026, at the Virginia South Poll Sale & Gathering on October 11, 2025 in Appomattox, VA. We have spent the last 17 years developing our south poll genetics to perform on forage only, low‑input, and fully adapted to the Mid‑Atlantic’s forage and climate. Even though we have been in a bag drought once again this summer, these heifers havent skipped a beat. Their dams, granddams, and even great‑granddams are still in our herd at 14–15 years old, producing strong calves year after year. That kind of longevity and fertility is what we’re most proud to pass on. Later this week, Ben and I will share another video diving into what “low‑input cattle” means to us and why it matters for the future of grazing. This gathering isn’t just about cattle, it’s about community. Alongside our offering, you’ll find cattle from four other south poll producers, with a total of 46 lots including pairs, open heifers, bred heifers, and bulls. Even if you’re not in the market to buy, we’d love for you to come. It’s a chance to connect with other graziers, share experiences, and learn together. Plus, lunch is on us.

The event is free, but please take a moment to register at southpollsale.com. We hope to see you there!
